A quick guide to meeting your neighbors and building community
1. Meet your neighbors
Start by meeting some neighbors over 10-minute "say hi" chats, an easy and low pressure way to get to know who is in the neighborhood.
1. See who lives within a 10 to 15 minute walk from you, in the Speed Neighboring page
2. When you are ready to say "hi" to a neighbor, just click "Yes, I’ll be there" to confirm the time works for you. The neighbor will see an email notification, and you will receive an email when the neighbor has also confirmed they are available
3. After both of you have confirmed, head to the displayed local park or coffee shop at the scheduled time to say "hi" and put a friendly face to a name in your community
2. Start or join local groups
Neighbors have started groups like parents, board games, dog walkers, Monday 6pm Zumba crew, and more.
1. If there are public groups near you, you will see them by clicking "Find local group chats" at the top of your Messages.
2. Start a new public group by clicking at the top of Messages
3. Host or join local events
1. In the Activities page, join or create events
2. Invite individual neighbors, or the whole neighborhood by inviting the neighborhood group chat
